Envira Sponge blasting media: Fillings & Granulations
Overview blasting media
-
R.ESG17 - Chilled Iron gritListenelement 1
For heavily cored surfaces and for removing elastomeric or extremely thick coatings. Cleans according to Sa 2,5 or Sa 3 standard. Not recommended for use in wet or humid environments.
Surface roughness: 100-125µm
-
R.ESA16 - aluminium oxide 14/24 meshListenelement 2
Removal of multilayer coatings on steel or when a rougher surface profile is required to the application of coatings.
Surface roughness: 80-100µm
-
R.ESA30 - alumina 30/40 meshListenelement 3
The first choice for many industrial applications. On Steel; rust and paint coatings are removed and a surface with Sa 2,5 or Sa 3 can be achieved.
Surface roughness: 60-80µm
-
R.ESA60 - aluminium oxide 60/80 mesh
Removal of 1- or 2-layer coatings on steel or glass fibre or suitable for weld seam cleaning before coating. Removes light coatings from steel and aluminium or can be used to activate surfaces before painted. Cleans according to Sa 2. 5 or Sa 3 standard. This grade can also be used for the rehabilitation of concrete, stone and masonry.
Surface roughness: 40-60µm
-
R.ESGT30 - garnet 60/80 mesh
General purpose blasting medium with limited reusability.
Surface roughness: 50-60μm
-
R.ESA80 - aluminium oxide 80/100 mesh
For more sensitive work on wood, masonry or concrete, as well as on steel for cleaning. Removes light coatings of steel and aluminum. Cleans to Sa 2,5 or Sa 3 standard.
Surface roughness: 35-50μm
-
R.ESA120 - aluminium oxide F 120
For selected coatings that require a slightly roughened profile. Removes light coatings from steel and aluminum, or can be used. Cleans according to Sa 2. 5 or Sa 3 standard. This grade can also be used for the rehabilitation of concrete, stone and masonry.
Surface roughness: 20-30µm
-
R.ESA220 - aluminium oxide F 220
For special coating removal on sensitive surfaces like plastic, for example for turbine cleaning.
Surface roughness: 10-15µm
-
R.ESA320 - alumina F 320
For removing coating for example on sensitive surfaces such as glass fiber or carbon fiber.
Surface roughness: 10-15μm
-
R.ESA500 - aluminium oxide F 500
For very fine cleaning for example of turbines, where a minimum removal of the surface coating is required.
Surface roughness: 4-8μm
-
R.ESA320 & R.ESGB60 mixture
For special cleaning, for example to remove impurities from steel or stainless steel.
Surface roughness: 10-15µm
-
R.ESGB60 - Glass beads 60/100 mesh
For cleaning or finishing where a glossy surface is required.
Surface roughness: 4 - 8µm
-
R.ESCG - gentle cleaning medium
For the gentle removal of dirt, soot, smoke, liquids etc. from steel, concrete or stone surfaces.
Surface roughness: 4-8µm
-
R.ESPW30 - plastic granules 30/40 mesh
For the removal of coatings on sensitive surfaces or if metal roughening is not desired.
Surface roughness: 0µm
-
R.ESSB - pure sponge without filling
100% Sponge - for light cleaning applications. No blasting media is added to the Sponge.
Surface roughness: 0µm
